In accordance with the requirements of Sport Wales, the Paddle Cymru Articles of Association should be reviewed every four years. The most recent review took place in September 2018, and the revised Articles of Association were approved at the AGM held on 13 October 2018. You can view the current document below.

These membership regulations have been agreed by the directors of the company as part of their regulations to ensure the proper conduct and management of Paddle Cymru; they deal with matters of internal regulation and membership and are binding on all persons connected to the organisation.

Paddle Cymru endorses the principle of equal access in sport and will strive to ensure that everyone who wishes to be involved in paddlesport, whether as members, casual participants, team members, volunteers, coaches, office-bearers in clubs or employees of Paddle Cymru.

In order to meet Paddle Cymru’ strategic objectives and contribute towards its success, Paddle Cymru recognises the need to recruit the best person for each job. This policy has been designed to ensure that all staff and directors of Paddle Cymru involved in recruitment and selection achieve and maintain high standards of professional practice whilst ensuring consistent and fair treatment for all.
This volunteer policy sets out the principles and practice by which we involve volunteers and is relevant to staff, volunteers and directors within the organisation. It aims to create a common understanding and to clarify roles and responsibilities to ensure the highest standards are maintained in relation to the management of volunteers.
Paddle Cymru encourages you to bring to its attention alleged wrongdoing and ethical or legal concerns which may impact on the work that we do and anyone involved. You have a duty to be vigilant and to keep Paddle Cymru informed of any such matters. This policy is to provide you with a formal channel through which employees of Paddle Cymru can raise matters of a serious nature relating to Paddle Cymru. Such matters cannot be raised informally. We encourage you to disclose information which tends to show one or more of the following where such disclosure relates in some way to Paddle Cymru.
It is Paddle Cymru policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner. Paddle Cymru takes a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and is committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery.
Paddle UK is committed to providing a caring, friendly and safe environment for all of its members so they can paddle in a relaxed and secure atmosphere. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable. If bullying does occur, all paddlers or parents should be able to tell and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively. We are a TELLING organisation. This means that anyone who knows that bullying is happening is expected to TELL your safeguarding Officer or any committee member.
This code has been written principally as a guide to Paddle Cymru Directors and is in accordance with our Memorandum and Articles of Association. However, this code also applies to Vice Presidents, Honorary members and any advisors working within, or on behalf of, Paddle Cymru.
The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to create and maintain an environment in which members, staff and volunteers can go about Paddle Cymru’ business free from discrimination, harassment, bullying and other unacceptable behaviour.
Someone engaged in coaching may do so under the title of Coach, Instructor, or Leader (hereinafter collectively referred to as Coaches”). Regardless of the badge, qualification or title they wear, this Code applies to all those
who help others achieve their goals through paddlesport.
Our goal is to give excellent service to all of our members but we recognise that occasionally things do go wrong. We take all complaints we receive seriously, and aim to resolve all of our members’ problems promptly. To ensure that we provide the kind of service you should expect of us, we welcome your feedback.
This policy applies to directors and all staff, volunteers and contractors, and should be read in conjunction with the declaration of interests form. This form needs to be completed by all directors, committee members and senior staff and returned to the Paddle Cymru Company Secretary.
We all have a responsibility to comply with the regulations and follow the Paddle Cymru guidance to limit the spread of the virus, protect our emergency services and maintain the reputation of our sport. There is a significant chance that if people act irresponsibly, we could see a return of some restrictions and bring paddlesport and Paddle Cymru into disrepute.

Paddle Cymru holds personal data about job applicants, employees, workers, members, volunteers, providers, suppliers and other individuals for a variety of organisational purposes.
These disciplinary regulations (the “Regulations”) are made pursuant to the powers of Paddle Cymru to act as the governing body for the sport and recreation of paddlesports in Wales in co-operation with Paddle UK, and the other national canoe associations within the United Kingdom, and for the administration and development of paddlesports in Wales as set out in its Articles of Association.
This form should be used to make a formal complaint under the Paddle Cymru Disciplinary Regulations. This form should be filled out by the person making the complaint or his/her authorised representative. It can also be filled out by the person receiving the complaint if the person making the complaint is unable to fill out the form.
Paddle Cymru believes that all paddlers have a responsibility to help preserve our beautiful Welsh rivers, lakes and coastline. We also recognise our responsibility for protecting the environment and will ensure compliance with all relevant current and future legislation. We will also endeavour to be compliant with appropriate codes of practice.

Paddle Cymru recognises that the use of networking sites is a growing phenomenon and is increasingly used as a communication tool of choice by both young people and adults. The use of social media provides many opportunities to improve the way we communicate and interact with people and other groups.
