What does this committee do?
The committee provides guidance and oversight for Paddle Cymru development programmes, focusing on club development, equity, safeguarding, and engagement with underrepresented groups. It supports initiatives like #ShePaddles, Disability access, and Youth Engagement. It oversees the design and implementation of participation programmes, and promotes safe practices through safeguarding education and training. The committee also engages with non-Olympic disciplines, manages member and community events, and works to boost participation in national events and additionally, it advises the Board on strategic decisions and reviews key documents related to these areas.
